AUT Student Project

We’re really pleased that final year student Ahmed Al-Simawy has generously volunteered to work on the AguaPallet Project as part of his Bachelor of Engineering Technology at AUT.  It has been helpful to have a fresh set of eyes looking at the Pallet component of the system to assess its performance under load.

We have always believed that for the AguaPallet to be viable it would need to perform up to current industry benchmarks as a plastic pallet carrying goods.  This means it needs to perform well under a uniformly distributed static load of 200kg.

Ahmed’s analysis using a number of different FEA solvers gave our design the thumbs up!  The results also usefully highlighted areas for future design improvement, which we will take forward into our next AP5 Release version.
